If anyone anywhere is using Excel, I think it is worth their while to try other spread sheet softwares. If you are making graphs which are even a tad bit more complex, please please please try MINITAB (version 14 is nice).
Havent used open office, but I am sure would be better than excel. oh, excel is clumsy. I think no one should get used to that bad quality. In my case, it took me exactly 3 hours to do in MINITAB what was taking me MONTHSSSS in excel. you know why, because excel wouldn't expect that you could have multiple enteries for a single date!! I mean seriously, is that all that unexpcted!?!? Oh the change was such a relief!! You know like trying to cut with a spoon and then getting a smooth knife.
i didn't download minitab, coz u hv to pay to use minitab. open office is free. its a lot like excel but i haven ever had problems with either, though i agree things might not be simplest....
