In order that people may be happy in their work, these three things are needed:

  • They must be fit for it;
  • They must not do too much of it; and
  • They must have a sense of success in it
  • - not a doubtful sense, such as needs some testimony of others for its confirmation, but a sure sense, or rather knowldege, that so much work has been done well, and fruitfully done, whatever the world may say or think about it.

That's good news! I am happy in my work. Althought my feeling of success in my work is still somewhat contingent on praise, but I think I'm getting there.

oh good for you :D

i am really really glad to hear that!!

i am feeling a bit challenged for the time being - i am supressing any thought that starts with a wonder - if i am fit to do what i am doing. but i am happy - i know i am growing and i know that from what i was to what i am becoming, is a nice curve (not, not literally - exercises are low - and i am fat!!)
